The main focus under this theme is to help our community understand the value and importance of low-impact tourism that contributes to the protection of South Africa's natural and cultural heritage. Off-site excursions and tours were minimal due to COVID restrictions.

Focal areas under this theme are covered in CAPS curriculum topics, as well as beyond the curriculum:

Local Eco-tourism: Pupils learn about ways that tourism can lead to, and prevent damage, and about eco-tourism opportunities in South Africa.
Adopt-a-place: Various grades in the school have cleaned and maintained the nearby George Farrar gravesite.
History of St Andrew's: We continue to preserve and promote the rich history and beginnings of our school through our Heritage Foundation, Heritage Trail and tours of the campus.
